MY LIFE STORY
by Hayden Berdahl
I was born here in Loveland CO. I have been raised here in Loveland since I was two weeks old and I’ve been enjoying our local car culture since I was 6 years old.

I was never like other kids that were into cars. Those kids loved supercars and muscle cars. I was what people call a “one of a kind” type of kid. I absolutely loved big cars with tail fins.

I grew up around my dad painting cars on the side, which he has now done for roughly 40 years. I began collecting die cast models which originally fueled the passion. When I was 13, I acquired my dream car, a 1961 “Mercury “ Comet. My father and I worked to keep most of the originality whilst semi restoring the cars. As it sits today, it is still 75% original sporting its original Signal Red paint.

During my Freshman and Sophomore years of high school, I was involved with the automotive program where I went to school (Thompson Valley High). They were very in-depth courses doing everything from small engine mechanics to full blown rebuilds.
Recently in April of 2025, I acquired my second dream car, a 1961 Buick Electra 225 from a very close family friend. It’s safe to say that I’m one happy kid to be surrounded by such amazing people and amazing cars!
