BETH WRITES ABOUT HER 1975 FORD F-150

Beth & Troy’s truck, 1975 Ford F-150, originally belonged to Beth’s grandfather and then was passed to her uncle.

Beth’s grandfather bought it in 1975 and drove it to work, Very Fast!!  He knew many of the police officers in their town on a first name basis.

Beth and Troy’s  truck, 1975 Ford F-150, was given to Beth by her Uncle.   Beth is the 3rd generation that owns this vintage truck.

Now it is used as a joyful, weekend driver on the scenic roads in Colorado and occasionally on a VMCCA regional or National tour.

BRENNA WRITES ABOUT HER 1967 CHEVELLE MALIBU

In the fall of 1987, right after I started college, I bought my 1967 Chevelle Malibu.  I had always coveted my mom’s 1966, but my parents wouldn’t give it to me!  Even though they kept my new car for a month, fixing it up as a birthday present, it still wasn’t the most reliable car for a college student.

But I loved it and wouldn’t give it up. Between myself, my dad and my husband (who came along in 1996), we have fixed and restored it over the years. When I bought the Chevelle, it was painted IROC-Z blue but during restoration I discovered the original color, Tahoe Turquoise, and chose that. So many people comment on the color as it isn’t seen very often.

Our daughter came home from the hospital in the Chevelle in 2004. When she started talking, she named it Zoom Zoom.

All these years later, we still have it!

CAROL WRITES ABOUT HER â€‹1967 CAMARO & 1986 CORVETTE

In 1967 I purchased a Camaro, gold with a black vinyl top, 4 speed. It was an awesome car and I enjoyed driving it, lots of power and great street appeal. Chrome wheels were added to increase the visual appearance. We do not have a picture of the upgraded car, don’t know how we managed to miss that.

In 1968 Ray and I were married and took it on our honeymoon to Mesa Verde in 1968. Unfortunately, we could not get a car seat in Camaro, and not having any foresight, or money to buy a family car for our growing family and keep the Camaro, we sold it in 1969.

Many years later, when our kids were grown, we found a replacement 1967 Camaro to hopefully bring back some of those early memories. It was not nearly the car that my first Camaro was, but gave us several years of driving fun. We no longer own that Camaro either.

A 1986 Corvette was purchased to replace the Camaro that we purchased around 2000. Since the Camaro was basically my car, it seemed only fitting that the Corvette would more likely be mine.
