April 13, 2024: Sandy Carlson, wife of the Regional Director of the Mountains and Plains Region, VMCCA and Shirley Reed, VP/Tour Chair for Northern Colorado Chapter, VMCCA attended the Gold Dust Chapter VMCCA's 40th Anniversary Celebration
Thomasetta and Bill Kuhl of Hot Springs are founding members of the Gold Dust chapter Vintage Motor Car Club of America, and now their grandson, Will, is the club's youngest member. Jack Markitan, Maynard Downen and the Kuhls formed the club in 1984.

Jack Markitan named the chapter in honor of gold mining in the Black Hills. Markitan owned a 1929 Chandler and a 1939 Packard when the chapter formed, and a sketch of his 1929 Chandler still serves as the Gold Dust chapter’s logo.
Gold Dust chapter of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America has been a show-stopping sight whenever club members take their lovingly restored vehicles on the road.
This gift was given to Gold Dust Chapter’s President, Kresta Faaborg, from Ron Becker, member of Northern Colorado Chapter, Vintage Motor Car Club of America
Enthusiastic smiles, thumbs-up and friendly shouts of “nice car!” are just part of the fun of being in this car club.
